9th Century English Ironstone Pedestal Bowl A handsome 19th-century English ironstone pedestal bowl, measuring approximately 10 3/8" in diameter and 5" high. This substantial bowl features richly colored hand-painted floral decoration accented by geometric banding resting on a classic footed base. The scale and pedestal form make it an ideal centerpiece or compote, perfect for use on a dining table, console, or sideboard. The vibrant decoration and solid ironstone body give the piece both visual presence and durability.  Good condition with minor wear and crazing.  There is a small chip to the underside of the rim, visible only on close inspection and not noticeable when the bowl is in use or on display.
