Fabulous antique English majolica compote or low cake stand made by Joseph Holdcroft in the late 19th Century. The compote features a fish and pond lily on a rich, cobalt blue ground, with brown border and vibrant green base. Marked J. Holdcroft 3465 as shown. The compote is in good condition with minor wear and tight hairline crack.  Please see all photos.
