A beautifully decorated antique Japanese Imari porcelain bowl dating to the late Meiji period, featuring a graceful lobed form and richly hand-painted decoration in the traditional Imari palette of cobalt blue, iron red, soft green, black, and gilt.
The interior is centered by a stylized hoju (sacred jewel) medallion accented with gold, surrounded by alternating panels of finely painted landscapes and geometric diaper ornament enriched with vibrant iron red and extensive gilt decoration. The gently lobed rim and balanced composition create an elegant presentation from every angle, while the exterior is finished with underglaze blue decoration.
An eye-catching piece for an Imari collection, displayed on a stand, or incorporated into a cabinet of antique ceramics.
Dimensions: 7" Diameter x 2.25" H
