A handsome antique Japanese Imari porcelain center bowl decorated in the traditional palette of underglaze cobalt blue, iron red, emerald green, and delicate gilt highlights. The scalloped rim encloses alternating panels of stylized wave motifs and dark blue reserves embellished with gilt scrolling ornament, while the interior center features a graceful bonsai style willow tree displayed within a jardinière.
The exterior is similarly decorated with blue wave motifs and scrolling borders, reflecting the refined craftsmanship characteristic of late 19th-century Imari wares. Its generous size makes it a striking decorative centerpiece for a dining table, console, or cabinet display.
