A beautiful late 19th–early 20th century Japanese Imari charger featuring a classic palette of iron red, cobalt blue, and soft green enamels. The scalloped square form is decorated with alternating reserves of cranes, florals, bamboo, and garden scenes around the border, framing a central still-life of blossoming branches in a basket.
Hand-painted with wonderful detail and strong, vibrant color throughout. Perfect for display on a wall, easel, or layered into a cabinet or sideboard vignette.
Very good antique condition with expected minor wear and rubbing to gilt trim consistent with age.
