Beautiful antique majolica plate depicting a bird of paradise perched among flowering branches, rendered in rich tones of blue, green, ochre, and soft pink against a textured ground. The scalloped rim and painterly decoration are characteristic of Wasmuel majolica, to which this plate is attributed, though unmarked.
Measuring approximately 8.25 inches in diameter, this plate displays lovely depth of color and fine detail, making it ideal for wall display or layering in a plate wall.
Condition: Good antique condition. There is a tight hairline on the rim, stable and only visible upon close inspection, along with light surface wear consistent with age.
