A beautiful Chinese famille rose vase dating to the Republic period, circa 1910–1930, decorated with flowering peonies and blossoming branches in vibrant pinks, blues, and greens against a luminous white ground. A poetic inscription adorns one side, adding literary interest to the piece. The graceful trumpet-form neck and elegant silhouette give the vase wonderful presence, making it equally striking displayed on its own or among a collection of Chinese porcelains.
