An elegant early 19th century portrait miniature depicting a young woman with softly curled coiffure and a rich russet gown, delicately painted and housed in an ornate gilt bronze frame surmounted by a ribbon and floral crest. No easel support or hanging loop is present.

Executed with remarkable attention to the sitter's luminous complexion, expressive eyes, and carefully rendered curls, the miniature reflects the refined portrait tradition of the Empire and Restoration periods, circa 1815–1835.

Good antique condition consistent with age and use, including a stable age-related crack to the ivory wafer visible at left, along with minor wear/verdigris to the frame commensurate with age.
